Experience:

Mr. van Daele, a native of Belgium, co-founded DAM Capital in 2003. Mr. van Daele has been lending to businesses across the world for over 20 years and thus has tremendous expertise in working with borrowers and tailoring investments to match their needs.

Prior to co-founding DAM Capital, Mr. van Daele served as the Joint Head of Global Debt Origination for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and was based in London and Frankfurt. While the Head of Global Finance for Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein Asia Pacific, Mr. van Daele was instrumental in creating mezzanine and private equity capabilities throughout the region. Previously, he was Head of Structured Finance, Union Bank of Switzerland, and was based in Hong Kong and Singapore. Prior to that, Mr. van Daele was Co-Head of Corporate and Project Finance in Asia with Barclays de Zoete Wedd, responsible for M&A, Equity Capital Markets and Loans businesses. He began his career in 1984 at Générale Bank, Belgium as a management trainee in their retail banking operations.

Mr. van Daele received his Licentiaat Toegepaste Economie from the University of Belgium and a Masters of Arts in Economics from the University of Louvain in Belgium.
